Energy Assistance

Sep 16, 2022

Worried about the cost of heating your home this winter? Households with low to moderate income may be eligible for assistance from the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). WHEAP provides  assistance for heating costs and energy crisis situations.

Funds are limited, so apply early while money is available. The amount of assistance you receive depends on the size of your household, income level, and heating costs. We receive the check directly from the state, credit your account and send you a statement.

WHEAP also offers counseling for energy conservation and budgeting for energy costs, community resource
referrals, and emergency furnace repair/replacement.

Apply for energy assistance online at https://energybenefit.wi.gov or call 800-506-5596 for assistance.
