Allied Cooperative has a new tool in our toolbox called 360 SOILSCAN. These machines analyze soil nitrate levels and allow us to generate reports for growers. These reports and recommendations are based on yield goal, crop stage and soil organic matter and state exactly how much nitrate is in the soil currently and the amount that should be added to produce the crop. Because we are able to produce results in a timely manner, we can help growers make real-time decisions.
If you are interested in getting soil nitrate levels for your corn fields, please contact your agronomy advisor and schedule a time to get them pulled. We will pull two samples from every field that is signed up in order to produce reliable numbers.
