CFAP Information Released

The USDA has released the details of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP), which farmers can start applying for on May 26.Dr. Mark Stephenson, a dairy economist at UW-Madison, and his colleagues released an informational letter on the details of the dairy portion of the program that farmers may find helpful. In addition, USDA's CFAP landing page has information on how payments for all eligible crops will be calculated. They have also released a video that previews how to use the payment calculator that will be released on May 26 when applications open up, which may be helpful for producers to review in advance.
